General

  • The site “Allt om Barnvagnar” has been doing in-depth, independent and non-sponsored reviews of prams and accessories since 2011. They are considered the go-to-place for knowledge of baby strollers and prams in Sweden.

Please find their fantastic review of buggy board here (in Swedish), but we have translated versions here in EN, DE, FR, NL. We highly recommend the site regardless before buying any stroller or pram.

  • Sure.

Drop us a line/DM and we’ll see what we can do.

  • - Hej. Vi är från Sverige.

    (Hello. We’re from Sweden)

  • The product is designed and developed in Sweden, and produced in China. We haven’t managed to find recycled material and production locally yet, due to our small and humble size.

Sustainability

  • Prepello uses fiber enhanced PA (polyamide) in our board deck, and PP/PU in our wheels. Our suppliers are GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified by third party.

The PA is 100% post-consumer recycled of which a majority comes from discarded fishing nets.

  • Because we as consumers have an impact. By making an educated choice on what, and if, to consume we can drive positive change.

And as for the material differences, you can read more on our sustainability page

  • Ocean plastic, or marine plastic waste, is a collective term for the plastic pollution that end up in our oceans. It can come from various sources and in various forms. From upstream cities or direct from tourism or fishing vessels. And as large drifting “ghost nets” (fishing) or as tiny micro plastics.

In 2021 IUCN estimated that at least 14 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year, and plastic makes up 80% of all marine debris found from surface waters to deep-sea sediments.

  • Yes you can, but please re-use first. Consider selling it or giving it to the next family. If there is something broken, it can probably be fixed. Please contact us for spare parts.

However, if it’s truly time for retirement, simply separate the metal parts from the plastic (wheel axle and bearings might require some tapping with a hammer), and recycle according to your national system.

Product

  • Suitable age is usually between 2-5 years old and with a defined max weight of 20kg.

However, children’s development varies greatly, and therefore we strongly advise you to read the guidelines found on our compatibility page.

  • With an endless number of brands and models of prams and strollers on the market, we can unfortunately not provide a list of compatible prams.

Please find a simple check-list of requirements on our compatibility page that will help you decide if your specific model is compatible or not.

  • Yes :)

On a serious note: We sincerely hope it does, but please have a look on our compatibility page first and create your own opinion. Ask your friends that have kids what works well, and what doesn’t. We really don’t claim it’s perfect for everyone.

  • The board comes ready assembled, but the coupling needs to be attached to your pram/stroller. It’s super easily done with only a screwdriver and a pair of scissors.

    Please download the instruction here.

  • Studies shows that routines are cemented at a very early age. What you do as a young child carries over into your teenage/adult life.

Despite most kids being naturally active, the fact is that lack of physical activity and obesity in kids is a major (and growing) health issue in Europe according to the world health organization, WHO.

In the European region an estimated 33% (!?!) of our 11-year-olds is overweight or obese.

If you are interested in learning more about and why activity and setting kids routines early is so important, you can read more about it on WHO’s websites found here:

  • No. And it should not be.

The CE mark only applies to certain product categories, and strollers, prams and buggy boards are not among these. Hence if you see a CE-marked stroller or sibling board you can rest assure the manufacturer is not serious about their products safety, and the marking is illegal.

In contrast, you should never purchase a baby toy in the EU that doesn’t carry the CE mark, since toys is one of the categories that do require the mark.

  • The prepello buggy board is designed and tested (where applicable) by Intertek according EN-1888, the European pram/stroller standard for safe products.

Though parts of this standard include some aspects of the buggy board, it does not legally cover this product type alone. Therefore, even if the board is designed according to the standard, it can never officially be certified for EN-1888.

  • The prepello buggy board is designed to be as safe as possible and according general product safety guidelines. It’s also designed and tested (where applicable) by Intertek according EN-1888, the European pram/stroller standard for safe products, even though this is not required.

Furthermore, riding the prepello board requires the child to be naturally engaged, attentive and actively holding on to the pram/stroller. The ride position is also very low.

In the event of a fall, we believe this is a much better premise than being passively seated on an elevated platform.
